Sardar vallabhai patel was born in Nadiad, small village in Gujarat. He was born on 31st October.  Sardar vallabhai patel real name was Sardar Jhaverbhai patel. He is also called Iron man of India. 
Sardar vallabhai patel was one of the leaders of the Indian natinal congress party. He took active part in the struggle of India. Sardar vallabhai patel statue in Gujarat is the highest statue in world. This statue is called Statue of unity. 

Sardar vallabhai patel became the first home minister and deputy prime minister of India. He used strength and determination to bring together the the many Indian princely states to form one united country -India as we know today. 

Sardar vallabhai patel died on 15 december 1950at the age of 75. He will be remembered for his great works.
